This October, Yale.NYC is sponsoring its fourth annual month of food-related events and activities.
From restaurant dinners, to behind-the-scenes tours, to discussions with world-renowned experts, current Yale students, alumni and faculty, Foodtober engages the taste buds, minds, and social consciences of our community while raising funds for the Yale Sustainable Food Project, City Growers, and Just Food, our non-profit partners.
This year we, we’ve brought back some of the most popular events from our last three years. From our city rooftop farm tour (which has sold out all three years past), to our after-hours, curator-led tour at the Metropolitan Museum (which Florence Fabricant wrote about in the NY Times), we’re focused on learning and deliciousness.
We’ve expanded our partnership with DeGustibus Cooking School — home of our popular interactive/demonstration cooking classes which combine the star power demonstrations of Food TV with the actual 3-course meal served as it’s demonstrated.
Some of our events sell out very quickly, so take advantage of our discount on the first ticket block for each event and secure your seats today. We hope you’ll join us! We promise there will be plenty of food for thought!
While the primary audience for all events are the 17,000+ members of the Yale Alumni Association of New York (Yale.NYC), all events are open to the public. Special thanks to this year’s sponsors: Kobler Estate Wineries – one of Sonoma County’s finest wine producers, DeGustibus Cooking School at Macy’s and Authentic Italy — the Italy travel experts.
